DAVE FARENICK

FOUNDER, CLIENT SERVICES

A highly organized, goal-oriented professional, Dave takes care of business at Faren. He is the curator of the project file and ensures scheduling and deliverables are kept on track. He is the primary contact during the quoting and contractual period, and will provide strategy, budgets, critical paths and detailed progress reports.

With over 30 years of experience in delivering effective communications, his contribution to design direction and advertising execution is of great value to the team. He has a unique ability to identify and solve problems, develop strategies and communicate with Faren’s clients.

Dave prides himself on his commitment to service, clearly evidenced by his more than 20+ year relationships with some of Faren’s customers. To further his career in communications and advertising he attended the Communications and Advertising Accredited Professional program with the Institute of Communications and Advertising in Toronto, and studied photography at Sheridan College.

CREATIVE DIRECTOR

A brilliant creative talent, Steve art directs everything produced at Faren. With a background of design strategy from the ground up in print, web and interactive user experience, and over 15 years of experience in the industry, Steve is capable of designing and executing complex projects across all media.

Steve has a particular talent for uncovering many points of view for each project, stimulating the design process. He pushes the studio designers to flourish within the boundaries of a specific brief, but also to go a bit further to expand the possibilities. This design strategy is Faren’s “added-value”.

When it comes to online properties, where speed and style are paramount to keep the viewer engaged, Steve ensures every user experience is as intuitive and flawless as possible. His skills developing HTML5 animated ads and illustrations, and knowledge of the digital landscape, is invaluable to Faren. Steve also excels at photography and really knows how to capture the subject, whether it be a product or lifestyle shot.

Steve has worked with some of the top creative directors in Toronto, winning gold for Canadian Underwriter magazine covers and accolades from the Type Director’s Club. He also held the position of Senior Designer and brand ambassador for Colliers Canada, overseeing a national team of marketing professionals and designers.
